Vahid is the founder of LetsVisitPersia, a travel writer, and an Iran tourism enthusiast who shares firsthand experiences and stories to help travelers discover the authentic side of Iran.

My mission is simple: to help travelers discover the authentic side of Iran through meaningful experiences rather than ordinary sightseeing.

My name is Vahid Shokoohi, and I was born in Shiraz, one of Iran’s most historic cities. My passion for travel and discovering new places led me to begin my career in tourism in 2011 as an English-speaking tour guide.
That decision became the starting point of a journey that has taken me across almost every corner of Iran.
I have traveled far beyond the country’s famous attractions, exploring remote villages, hidden valleys, deserts, mountains, forests, and places that many travelers never have the chance to visit.
These journeys were never simply part of my job. They were personal adventures that allowed me to experience Iran firsthand and understand its incredible diversity.
As my experience grew, I developed a passion for professional travel photography to share Iran’s beauty with people around the world. Later, I expanded my work into travel content creation and collaborated with several well-known travel agencies in Shiraz, helping introduce authentic Iranian experiences to international travelers.
Today, everything I recommend is based on places I have personally visited and experienced.
After more than fifteen years of continuous experience in Iran’s inbound tourism industry, I understand what international travelers are truly looking for.
