In general Iran Tourist Visa is issued for 30 days. But it can be extended for 90 days.

If you apply for your visa through the embassy or E-visa online, you’ll be quite sure to receive the maximum extension. But if you enter Iran with visa on arrival you may only be granted 60 days in total.

If you are from ChinaArmeniaAzerbaijanGeorgiaTurkeyBoliviaSyriaOmanMalaysiaLebanonEgypt, and Venezuela you do not need a visa to enter Iran.

There are two costs. First, the visa service fee which you pay to the agency for your visa services (visa services is free on Letsvisitpersia tour packages). Second, a visa collection fee in order to get your visa stamped (on a separated paper not into your passport) and the amount depends on your nationality.

Everybody is eligible, no matter what is your nationality or how you get your visa.

If your visa is on arrival you can extend it only once and for 30 days. Although you may be given less than 30 days.

If you obtained your visa prior to your arrival in Iran, you are able to extend it twice each time for 30 days.

The cost for visa extension is about 10 euros and you need to go to “Melli Bank” to make the payment, then you need to give the receipt to the office again.

– An application form (It be given to you by the officer)

– Two passport photos (with white background)

– Your passport and a copy of your first passport page

– A copy of your Iran Visa (previous extensions if there is any)

– A copy of your Iran Visa stamp if it’s not on the same page of your visa

You can extend your Iran visa at the Police Office of Foreign Affairs in almost all major cities in Iran such as Tehran, Shiraz, Yazd, Isfahan, Tabriz, Mashhad, Bandar Abbas and many more.

There is no specific time and it depends on where you apply for. It can be done on the same day or it may take a couple of days maximum. We strongly suggest you extend your Iran visa 2 or 3 days before the expiry date of your current visa (to prevent the overlaps with your original visa date)

You will be given a form and you need to fill it completely, you asked for the reasons for the extension and the duration you want to extend. You will be directed to a “Melli bank” for your payment. Once you made your payment, you need to give the receipt to “Police Office of Foreign Affairs “then it can take an hour or a few days to get your extension.
