Golestan Palace

Golestan Palace (UNESCO heritage) is located in the heart of Tehran and it became famous when the palace complex was selected as the royal residence and seat of power by the Qajar ruling family.

Golestan Palace is one of the oldest historical monuments in Tehran, It consists of royal buildings, gardens, and beautiful collections of Iranian crafts and European presents between the 18th – 19th centuries.

Treasury of National Jewels (National Jewelry Museum of Iran)

Carpet Museum of Iran

Carpet-weaving has an ancient background and traced back to around 5000 BC in Iran. Handmade carpet-weaving is considered as a unique art because Persian rugs represent the cultural diversities of Iranian ethnic groups.

The Carpet museum was built by the order of Farah Diba in 1960 and exhibits a variety of Persian carpets from all over Iran dating from the 16th century to the present contain over 150 types of Persian rugs.

National museum of Iran (Iran Bastan Museum)

If you are interested in archeology and history it is your first choice. The national museum of Iran is the main archaeological museum of Iran.

Subjects inside the museum cover the history of ancient Persia and even centuries before (from Paleolithic) to the Qajar period so you can see the development of the art and architecture clearly.

We strongly suggest you hire a tour guide during your visit because every piece has a unique story to tell.

Tabiat Bridge (Nature Bridge)

Designed by a young Iranian girl architect that won several national and international prizes for its creativity. The Tabiat Bridge connected two public parks over the width of the Moddares highway.

This bridge is designed to be a place for people not to pass by but to stay, spend time, and watch a beautiful view of Tehran. It is a social area rather than a simple bridge to cross.

You can enjoy the green nature, drink a coffee, have a takeaway snack and relax. The bridge is decorated by the lights at night so it’s worth visiting at night.
